enjoys a central and accessible location in an area so small yet so
rich in natural beauty, culture, and heritage. We offer the ideal base
from which to explore the northeast corner of the island of Ireland,
We are located just 25 miles (40 km) south of Belfast and 75 miles (or 120 km) north of Dublin. Getting to either city couldn't be easier. You can jump in your car, catch an express bus or take a seat aboard the high-speed Enterprise train and be in the heart of Belfast or Dublin in no time at all for a spot of shopping or sightseeing.
We are right on the doorstep of the Mourne Mountains, an internationally designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and a short drive from the burial ground of Saint Patrick in Downpatrick, with the beauty and charm of Strangford Lough, the largest sea inlet in the British Isles, celebrated as a bird sanctuary and for its oysters, mussels and scallops, just beyond.
Titanic Quarter is just a thirty minute drive and is well worth a visit.
In just 30 minutes you could be in the historic City of Armagh, ecclesiastic capital of Ireland. While further west you can go cruising, sailing or fishing in the tranquil Fermanagh Lakelands.
Beyond Belfast to the north of Greenacres you will find incomparable and breathtaking views along the rugged Antrim coastline, on your way round to the world-famous Giant's Causeway, and the City of Derry beyond.
Many of our guests have enjoyed the benefits of making Greenacres not just a base but also a home-from-home during their time in Ireland. Set up for the day with a breakfast of their choice, they head out each morning for a day of activity, often with one of our freshly-prepared packed lunches, and return in the evening for a delicious gourmet dinner.
